Science at Sea

Buoy at Sea.

This is the first sounding launch while on station. It is a GPS Sonde and is just coming out of the launch tub in this photo. The Doppler radar is to the left of the tub. We launch 6 sondes a day and will continue to do so throughout the project.

The balloon has cleared the ship and is heading up into the sky. It appears to be a successful launch.
