Winds started out southwesterly, then switched to easterly and northeasterly. Wind speeds were generally less than 5 m/s, although for a brief period they exceeded 10 m/s. Soundings were done at 23:00Z on August 16^th, and at 05:00Z and 17:00Z on August 17^th. The 11:00Z sounding on August 17^th was cancelled due to rain.
