Tower measurement systems functioned well, but the radiometry site is still down because of an incoming barge at its location. Tethersonde soundings were done at 20:00Z and 23:00Z on August 22. The 02:00Z sounding on August 23 was cancelled due to Aeromet warnings of rain and high wind speeds. Further soundings were done at 05:00Z, 08:00Z, 11:00Z, and 17:00Z on August 23. The 17:00Z sounding was aborted at 600m due to an incoming line of storms, but the data up to and down from 600m is available.

Air temperatures on Meck Island ranged from 299K to almost 303K. Relative humidity varied from 62% to 90%. Winds were predominately easterly and northeasterly, with wind speeds ranging from 3–11 m/s.
