Tethersonde soundings were done at 23:00Z on August 31, and at 02:00Z and 05:00Z on September 1. Due to technical difficulties, the 05:00Z flight did not yield any data. Also, until September 10 no more night flights will be allowed because of the Patriot Missile Mission.

Tower and radiation measurement systems functioned well. Air temperatures on Meck Island ranged from approximately 301K to 303K. Relative humidity varied from 68% to 85%. Winds were predominately northeasterly and southeasterly, with wind speeds averaging around 4 m/s.
