The U.Va. Meck Island site was vacated on Monday, September 6 due to the Patriot mission. Principal investigator Jose D. Fuentes left Kwajalein on Monday evening (the rest of the team will leave on Friday, September 17). Two team members returned to the site on Wednesday, September 8. The site will again be vacant on Thursday (September 9) and the entire team will return to Meck on Friday, September 10. Operations will be terminated that evening. The dismantling of the site will be in full swing by Saturday morning.

Tower measurements systems continue to function at Meck Island and will through Friday, September 10. The radiometry site was dismantled on Monday, September 6. The radiometry will not be reassembled due to the possibility of further barge activity during the two remaining days of operation.
