PLOT

This command is used to produce a plot, after all necessary options have been set.

Widget:

Click the mouse pointer either on "New Plot" or "Overlay Plot" in the IVE Main Window.

By default, the PLOT command performs the same functions as NEW_PLOT. However, once you overlay a plot, PLOT emulates the OVERLAY_PLOT command until a new plot is created once again.
use of the PLOT command requires that some other commands be given prior to the PLOT command. Which commands must be given will depend on the type of plot you have requested. At a minimum, a data file (FILE command), a field (FIELD command), and a plot type (TYPE command) must be given in order to be able to make a plot.
