This APU was run in the winter of 2014-2015. It was replaced with APU03 in May 2015.
List of cases:
- March 27-28: Frontal passage, 20 mm precip, pre-frontal NBB rain, good post-frontal convective showers
- March 29-30: Weak frontal passage, 17 mm precip, large drop counts but also some larger drops
- March 31 - Apr 1: Weak frontal passage, 10 mm precip (+ 9 mm post-frontal on 4/1), heavier precip, larger mean drop size (not many tiny drops)
- April 3: Weak frontal passage, 11 mm precip (+ 4 mm post-frontal 4/4), good droplet growth, 30-40 dBZ for a few hours, not many small drops. Post-frontal strongest in afternoon 4/4.
- April 6: Weak precip...one ~45 min period of high drop counts, might be interesting to look at. Only 4 mm precip.
- April 10-11: Strong frontal passage...33 mm precip, interesting period of NBB rain between two bigger pulses of frontal precip. Post-frontal precip continued Apr 12.
- April 13-14: Weak front, 23 mm precip. No NBB rain, looks like all larger drops.
- April 23: Weak front...12 mm precip...showery...interesting alternations of larger and smaller drops
- May 4-5: Weak showers move in late on the 4th. Nice post-frontal convection on the 5th. Total of 11 mm.
