The Real Time dowwnlink capability prompted Tillman to propose and he and his staff developed the first ``Live from Mars'' exhibit at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Washington, D.C,. This was the first public digital display from the surface of Mars and this permanent exhibit, ``The Viking view of Mars'', is in its 20th year in the museum's Planetary Gallery.
