The dataset is in NetCDF format containing information about the diurnal cycle of liquid water path from the TRMM Microwave Imager (TMI)

Resolution and scope: 2.5x2.5 degrees, over the ocean only

The basic data that were used to produce the diurnal analysis are produced by Remote Sensing Systems and sponsored, in part, by NASA's Earth Science Information Partnerships (ESIP): a federation of information sites for Earth science; and by the NOAA/NASA Pathfinder Program for early EOS products; principal investigator: Frank Wentz.
