Ben Buchovecky

Graduate Student

University of Washington

Ben is starting as a graduate student in the Ecoclimate Lab in Autumn 2024. He is broadly interested in how biosphere-atmosphere interactions influence climate at the regional and global scale. For his undergraduate studies, Ben majored in Geosciences at Princeton University where he investigated questions including whether phytoplankton blooms in the Southern Ocean can be predicted and how terrestrial plants’ response to elevated CO$_2$ impacts tropical precipitation. He was a summer intern in the lab through the High Meadows Environmental Institute in 2022.
