Science Communication
Mostly writing, with some workshops sprinkled in

Science should be accessible
Since 2019, I've done a mix of community reporting, science writing, environmental justice reporting, and data journalism. Some of this work has been published in a freelance capacity, while other work has been published while working full-time in journalism fellowship roles (fellowships I have been incredibly grateful to receive).
I have written on topics ranging from the wildfires in Ukraine to atmospheric river flooding in California to the intersection of weather and chronic illness. Selected publications are listed below in reverse chronological order.
Science Communication Workshops for Earth Scientists
I also lead periodic science communication workshops for earth scientists at Columbia University's Learning the Earth with Artificial Intelligence and Physics (LEAP) Science and Technology Center.
